Planting trees at Bushfield School
Back in November 2009, Bushfield School was one of the locations visited by the Tree Appeal team as part of Santander’s 2009 tree planting activities.
In November, Santander planted 1000 broad leaf trees in schools across the UK, helping pupils and students to make the world a greener place.
Staff from local Santander offices were on hand to help the children plant the trees in the school grounds.

On 5th November Bushfield pupils were given the chance to get their hands dirty and plant 100 trees in the school grounds thanks to the ‘Tree Appeal’. They were helped by employees from Santander, Milton Keynes.
The children thoroughly enjoyed learning how to plant the trees and will be able to watch them grow, see how wildlife is encouraged and even compare how their trees are growing with other schools who have also planted trees across the globe.

After 3 days here the children have loved every minute of their time! Even those minutes where they were really tired. Here are some more pictures of the activites we have been doing and we can’t wait to come home and see everyone. I think we will all need a long, hot bath by the time we get there.
We are having a fantastic time here in Kent! All the children have been on the high ropes course today and here are some of the photos! They are all very tired and will sleep well tonight.
